6. Molding Properties

6.1 Flowability

Bar flow lengths of LAPEROS® LCP at 0.2 and 0.3 mm thick are shown in Fig. 6-1 and Fig. 6-2, respectively. Compared with general-purpose engineering plastics and commodity plastics, as well as various super engineering plastics, LAPEROS exhibits very long bar flow lengths as a typical characteristic. Particularly, Fig. 6-2 shows that a flow length of 30 mm and above is easily obtained at even a very thin wall thickness of 0.2 mm. This is a great advantage for thin-wall parts molding, The data below is useful reference data for part and mold designing.
