Bicycle Culture Center / Racing Bicycles (Road bike and Mountain bike)

Bicycles, first produced some 190 years ago, have developed to become the most basic form of conveyance of everyday life. On display in Bicycle Plaza at the Bicycle Culture Center are bicycles that give a visual picture of the history of the bicycle. Racing bicycles are very popular in Europe. In Japan as well, the popularity of racing bicycles has finally become widespread. The frame has a distinctive shape, is very lightweight, and the total weight is only 8 kilograms. Recently, lightweight strong carbon-fiber reinforced materials have begun to be used not only for the frames of track bicycles but also for those of racing bicycles.
