Bicycle Culture Center / Rover

Bicycles, first produced some 190 years ago, have developed to become the most basic form of conveyance of everyday life. On display in Bicycle Plaza at the Bicycle Culture Center are bicycles that give a visual picture of the history of the bicycle. The front and back wheels were the same size. This was the first bicycle to be propelled by a gear and chain on the back wheel. The chain-driven bicycle had a handlebar, saddle, and pedals to turn the chain.
