Plastics Usage Stepped Up

Plastics Usage Stepped Up (1970-1980)

The quantity of plastics employed increased substantially starting with the Model 20 that debuted in 1978.
Polypropylene was used in the back shell portion and the seat pillar cover, while the casters changed from natural rubber to polyamide.
Model 27 was epoch-making in terms of its usage of plastics. Plastics were used as materials for styling of office chairs on account of design freedom and the mold was set for the chair of today.
