DURAFIDE(R) PPS
Characteristics of PPS materials for extrusion molding
DURAFIDE® PPS, which is a polyphenylene sulfide resin, has the characteristics shown below. It has broad use in extrusion applications.
- We developed grades for materials superior in cutting performance by improving toughness, which is a conventional drawback of PPS.
- High resistance is offered to chemicals such as strong acid, strong alkali and organic solvents.
- Possessing high toughness, while high values are also exhibited for compression and shear characteristics.
- Metal ions and impurities are low, and application is possible in electronic applications where strict electrical properties are demanded.
- Water absorption is exceedingly low, and there is almost no change in dimension even under high temperature and high humidity conditions.
- Various grades that can cope with extrusion molding are available.
