From gears to electronics

In the 1960s, an electronic shutter and an automatic exposure (AE) mechanism appeared.
Cameras were equipped with a TTL exposure meter and an electronic flash, and an automatic focusing mechanism and an automatic film winding mechanism appeared. As electric parts increased, needs for insulation increased, and when a circuit board began to be used, the use of plastic extended from the body to the mechanism elements.
(TTL stands for Through The Lens. It is a method to measure the quantity of light that passes through a lens.)
