Bandai Museum / Toys for Girls

The Advanced Technology Exhibition Hall @ TEPIA was established by Association for Technological Excellence Promoting Innovative Advances (TEPIA) in 1989. It is a venue in which visitors can learn about a variety of advanced technologies that are the pride of Japan. They can also learn about the role plastics play in these technologies. (For more information, see the February 2011 issue of the PR magazine pla-topia.) http://tepia.jp/exhibition/index.html

Toys for Girls

Toys for Girls

It seems that the desire to be transformed into someone else excites girls just as much as it does boys. Toy models of the characters in the enormously successful manga and anime series Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon fulfill this desire. Sailor Moon is an anime created in the Heisei era that became a big hit as well as the line routinely spoken the episodes, "I will punish you on behalf of the Moon!" Toy devices modeled on those used by the characters to transform into Sailor soldiers, their weapons (Moon Sticks), and Sailor Moon character dolls are some of the toys that have become extremely popular with girls. On display at the Bandai Museum are many of the Sailor Moon series toys that were produced in the past.
