Konosuke Matsushita Museum / 1952~1958

The exterior of the museum building emulates the exterior of the Panasonic headquarters building constructed in 1933. The museum was opened in 1968 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Matsushita Electric Housewares Manufacturing Works (now Panasonic). The Konosuke Matsushita Museum traces the historical development of Japan's household appliances industry. Three Sacred Treasures Era
Three Sacred Treasures Era
After the war, until the second half of the 1950s, even when talking about home appliances, the only such items found in the home were the iron, electric heating, and the fan. Entering the second half of the 1950s, the black and white TV, the washing machine, and the refrigerator came to be called "the Three Sacred Treasures". These three home appliances where dream products that were within reach through hard work, and the symbols of a new life. Here, the first products are exhibited.
