Conversion of glass components to plastic

Automobile comprises safety glass in which a plastic film is inserted between two glass layers. Plastic materials such as polycarbonate are used in some side glass, as well as head lamps and rear lamps, and transparent plastics are used in meters in the instrument panel. Mirrors are one area where conversion to plastics is advancing. The majority of internal mechanical components have been converted to plastic, and components with their reverse sides plated are also used.
