Daguerreotype

This is the first commercial camera in the world. It was made by M. Daguerre. In France, August 19 when this camera was made public is the Photography Invention Day. Photosensitive silver was evaporated and put on a copper plate. This technique is called the silver halide photography. The structure of the camera was very simple. A lens was put on one side of a cubic wooden box, and a photosensitive material was put on the opposite side. The basic structure has not changed even in the digital camera we use today.
