Column 2 A Variety of Microscopes

Inverted Microscopes
Microscopes can largely classified as upright and inverted. The inverted microscope observes a specimen from below. It has been used to analyze and research metals such as iron and steel. The inverted microscope was also used in biological research to observe living cells.

Binocular Stereo Microscopes
The binocular stereo microscope can produce a three-dimensional image of a specimen that enables visual confirmation of uneven surfaces and a three-dimensional perspective view of the specimen. It is used in factories for tasks such as inspection of precision parts and part assembly.
