TOPAS^® is the trade name of a cyclic olefin copolymer (COC) developed by TOPAS ADVANCED POLYMERS GmbH, it is an amorphous transparent copolymer possessing a cyclic olefin structure.

TOPAS^® is highly regarded in the optics market as a resin offering superior performance such as optical property comparable to PMMA, heat resistance equivalent to PC or greater, and high dimensional stability derived from low water absorption. In addition, TOPAS^® has attracted attention in the packaging material field as a material suitable for modification of conventionally used materials such as improvements in wates vapor barrier performance and rigidity, and provides heat resistance and easy-cutting performance.
