The Polyplastics Corporate Identity, as a Specialized
Manufacturer of Engineering Plastics Contributing to Society,
Remains Constant over the Passage of Time
Since starting operations in 1962, the Polyplastics Group has contributed to society by developing a business devoted to the manufacture and sale of engineering plastics both in Japan and overseas. This business has grown to make Polyplastics a leading company in engineering plastics in the Asia-Pacific region. With the majority of its employees working at Group companies overseas, Polyplastics is gearing up for redoubled progress as a global company rooted in deep respect of the business cultures in all the regions in which it operates.
Adopting the basic doctrine of "customer-focused management," the Polyplastics ideal is to excel as a company that constantly earns the trust and esteem of its customers. True to this purpose, we advance all corporate activities hand in hand with our customers, from the development and supply of innovative and high value-added products to the furnishing of intricately detailed technical services. Striving through this devoted collaboration to contribute both to the customers and the society in general is, unquestionably, our greatest joy as a highly accomplished materials producer.
Today, the times in which we live are moving forward at a velocity that truly staggers the imagination. Against such a dynamic backdrop, it has grown more important than ever before to create new value that closely anticipates the future needs of our customers. Toward this end, a vital theme for us is to remain closely abreast of the demands of the times, bolster collaboration with our customers and boldly advance technological innovation fueled by flexible thinking. In the same respect, we will also be channeling greater energies into the cultivation of outstanding human resources capable of rising to meet these challenges. In terms of a corporate culture, Polyplastics is determined to realize and expand an environment based on the respect of individual humanity, while being propelled forward by the ability to mutually heighten each other's capacities and manifest greater power as a collective force.
The demands facing today's companies include those of product quality, safety, enlightened responses to the environment, management emphasizing the human element and other aspects of corporate social responsibility (CSR). At Polyplastics as well, the mission to maintain sound business activities encompasses strengthened compliance and other management systems, in tandem with undertakings supported by a firm awareness of our environmental obligations as a responsible member of the local community and the society at large. My ideal, in this respect, is to firmly instill and sustain a stance under which CSR is not viewed as a special goal or value as such, but rather as the essential foundation of our daily lives and work comprising the right and natural course.
My guiding vision for the Polyplastics Group, therefore, is for us to excel as a corporate family where each and every employee senses keen pride and inspiration, and that continues to contribute to society as a leading company in the critical field of engineering plastics.
