Employee Volunteers Participated in Mt. Fuji 3776 Natural Forest Restoration Project (Broad-leaved Tree Planting)

Shizuoka Prefecture undertakes the Mt. Fuji 3776 Natural Forest Restoration Project with the objective of creating abundant forested areas on Mt. Fuji. Activities progress through the stages of collecting seeds, tree planting, and weeding forest undergrowth in the effort to promote the spread of healthy natural forests and forest regeneration. Polyplastics supports the aim of this activity; every year employee volunteers to participate in the project.

On April 25, 2009 (Saturday), a broad-leaved tree planting activity was held at the foot of Mt. Fuji in the Oobuchi area of Fuji City, where 200 broad-leaved trees were planted. About 50 people, including Polyplastics employees and their family members 14 in total participated in this activity.
